Game 10 Articles

As I previously commented on the Game 8 page, in 1969 I corresponded with my close friend and former teammate, Tommy Belch, while he honorably and bravely served our country in Vietnam. In one of my letters endeavoring to remember better times, I sent him the article about our victory over Southern Pines. I wrote the following "Belch Scores Winning Touchdown ... on Lonnie Belch Night." Lonnie is a nickname we sometimes used, a play on his real name. Tommy returned the article in his next letter to me stating he had copies of his own and did not want to take mine. Thanks Tommy. As you can see I kept mine and especially treasure those I sent to you and received back.
